Born in Moscow to a family of musicians in 1992, tenor Arseny Yakovlev studied voice at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory and continued his vocal studies at the Academy of Choral Arts under Prof. Dmitry Vdovin. He was then invited to join the Young Artists Program at the Bolshoi Opera in Moscow, where he continued his studies with Maestro Vdovin. In 2012 at the age of 19, Yakovlev made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier. In 2018 he joined the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindeman Young Artists Program and soon after made his debut at the Met Opera’s stage
